This Is It!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I had the fortune of receiving the Michael Jackson movie called "This Is It" as a birthday gift. Ironically, the movie became available for purchase on my birthday, January 26, 2010.  I have always been a Michael Jackson fan and I have always defended his creative brilliance.  I wanted to see "This Is It" because I had heard some stories that he was "over the hill," "fragile looking," "out of performing shape," and "unable to sing anymore."

The movie begins with a few interviews and jumps into Michael performing "Want to Be Starting Something." In typical MJ fashion, he takes command of the stage and is absolutely amazing.  He still has all the moves, all the facial expressions, and still has the magical voice.  The movie is a collection of memories for most, as covers songs from his Thriller album and his famous Jackson Five melody.

One of the things that I marveled at is MJ's ability to "see" and "visualize" how the song and performance should sound and look like.  His stage presence is second to none.

It is also amazing that his tour attracted the best and most dynamic dancers in the world! Dancers globally showed up for the auditions.  The final dance team is top notch, yet compared to the "gloved one," there is no comparison who is the premiere dancer.  And remember, MJ was a sprite 50 years old!

I give this movie two big thumbs up! Everyone should watch this movie.  It is entertaining, informative, and amazing!

It's February 3, 2010 and I am Bullish on Sacramento!
